Opening of the 1st Session of the 67th General Assembly

May 3, 2023, Charlottetown - The 1st Session of the 67th General Assembly of the Province of Prince Edward Island will commence at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 12, 2023, in the Legislative Chamber, 1st floor, The Honourable George Coles Building (Coles Building).

Pursuant to Rule 9 (1) of the Rules of the Legislative Assembly, 2018, the House, on first assembling following each general election shall conduct as its first order of business the secret ballot for the election of Speaker.

Following the election of the Speaker, Her Honour, The Honourable Antoinette Perry, Lieutenant Governor of Prince Edward Island will deliver the Speech from the Throne.

The regular sitting day schedule, including oral questions period, will begin on Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at 1:00 p.m.

The House meets daily Tuesday-Friday during the sitting:

• Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays - 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm
• Fridays - 10:00 am - 2:00 pm
