Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, May 3, 2023 – The Honourable Antoinette Perry, Lieutenant Governor of the Province of Prince Edward Island will be in attendance at a swearing-in ceremony for Members of the Legislative Assembly on Friday, May 12, 2023 at 11:00 a.m., in the Legislative Assembly Chamber, The Honourable George Coles Building, Charlottetown.
Prior to assuming a designated seat on the floor of the House, all Members must swear, or solemnly affirm, the Oath of Allegiance as required in the Constitution Acts 1867 to 1982, Section 128. Pursuant to direction received from Her Honour, the Lieutenant Governor, this Oath will be administered by the Clerk of the Legislative Assembly, Mr. Joseph Jeffrey. Members will swear that they will be faithful and bear true allegiance to His Majesty King Charles the Third, King of Canada, His Heirs and Successors according to law.

Opening of the Legislature and Election of the Speaker at 2:00 p.m.; and
Speech from the Throne by The Honourable Antoinette Perry, following the election of the Speaker.
