The Director of Communications and External Relations is responsible for the Assembly’s media communications, special projects, and relations with external organizations.
The Director of Parliamentary Research
Hansard staff transcribe and edit the daily debates of the House and its committees.
The Manager of Broadcasting Services produces the television and web broadcasts of House and committee proceedings, and attends to the information technology needs of personnel and members.
The Administrative Officer and Administrative Assistant administer payroll and expenses, assist with archiving and distribution of House documents, and support other Assembly staff and independent officers.
The Librarian maintains the library sessional documents collection and the Assembly website, provides graphic design support for Assembly publications, and assists with research.
The Security team ensure the safety and security of members, staff and the public at the Legislative Assembly.
Sessional support services
During sittings of the House, security services are increased within the Legislative Precinct, which includes the Hon. George Coles Building, the Rectory at 197 Richmond Street, the J. Angus MacLean Building and Province House.
The Sessional Administrative Office, on the first floor of the Coles Building, is responsible for the distribution of House documents and mail and record retention for the Legislative Assembly.
Hansard staff are present outside the rail in the Chamber to annotate daily proceedings and control the microphone recording system.
A custodian oversees the provision of refreshments in the Members’ Lounge outside the Chamber and assists with the distribution of documents and management of the Pages.
