Security Officers (to create a list)

The Legislative Assembly of Prince Edward Island is seeking persons interested in part time employment at the Legislative Assembly as Security Officers. Reporting to the Sergeant-at-Arms, Security Officers are responsible for the delivery of security services at Coles Building, St. Paul’s Rectory, J. Angus MacLean Building and in the Legislative Precinct.

Minimum Qualifications

• Grade 12 graduation required
• Working knowledge of, and training in, security systems and procedures
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to work irregular hours
• Willingness to participate in additional training
• Able to work efficiently under pressure and, at all times employ respect, discretion, and diplomacy when dealing with the public, staff and members of the Legislative Assembly
• Applicants must be reliable, possess good communication skills
• Provide a criminal record check 

Other Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Peace Office considered an asset;
• Bilingual considered an asset.
