Topic:  The committee will receive a briefing on two topics.  The first topic is imaging wait times, including magnetic resonance imaging, and surgery wait times.  The second topic is the University of Prince Edward Island medical school, specifically its medical home aspect, the anticipated medical home opening date, and its medical home staffing model.  The briefing will be provided by the following representative(s) from Health PEI:

First topic:

  • Melanie Fraser, Health PEI Chief Executive Officer

  • Dr. Johan Viljoen, Health PEI Interim Chief Medical Officer

  • Dylana Arsenault, Health PEI Executive Director of Hospital Services and Patient Flow

  • Donna Daniec, Health PEI Provincial Patient Flow & System Utilization Director/Provincial Surgical Services Director

Second topic:

  • Melanie Fraser, Health PEI Chief Executive Officer

  • Corinne Rowswell, Health PEI Chief Operating Officer

  • Dr. Preston Smith, Dean of Medicine at the Universite of Prince Edward Island

  • Kim Lawn, Transformation Office Workstream Director
