Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, June 13, 2019 - The Honourable Antoinette Perry, Lieutenant Governor of the Province of Prince Edward Island, and the Clerk of the Legislative Assembly, Mr. Joseph Jeffrey, were in attendance at a swearing-in ceremony for Members today at 11:00 a.m. in the re-created Chamber on the Upper Foyer of the Confederation Centre of the Arts, Charlottetown.
Prior to assuming a designated seat on the floor of the House, all Members must swear, or solemnly affirm, the Oath of Allegiance as required in the Constitution Acts 1867 to 1982, Section 128. Pursuant to direction received from Her Honour, the Lieutenant Governor, this Oath was administered by the Clerk and Clerk Assistants of the Legislative Assembly.
The new Members swore that he/she will be faithful and bear true allegiance to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the Second, Queen of Canada, Her Heirs and Successors, according to law.

This afternoon at 2:00 pm the Opening of the Legislature and Election of the Speaker;
On June 14th at 10:45 a.m. The Honourable Antoinette Perry, Lieutenant Governor’s Inspection of the Honour Guard outside the Legislature; and
On June 14th at 11:00 a.m. the Speech from the Throne.
