The employees of the Legislative Assembly attend to the day-to-day administration of the House, both within the Chamber during sittings and for the institution overall. A permanent staff supports the work of the Legislative Assembly. During each session, the Assembly also employs a number of sessional staff.
Working within the Chamber rail are the Table Officers, the Sergeant-at-Arms, and Pages. Outside the rail, there is staff in place for security, administration, committees, research, library, human resources, and broadcasting services. The institution of the Legislative Assembly is led by the Speaker, with the Clerk as the chief permanent officer.
